Last updated: September 2, 2026
1. Acceptance of These Terms
Welcome to the website of Better You Therapy LLC (“Better You Therapy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), located at getbetteryou.com (the “Website”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Website and the articles, blog posts, and other materials published on it (the “Content”).
By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Website. We may update these Terms at any time; the “Last updated” date above reflects the most recent version, and your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
2. Educational Content Only — Not Medical or Mental Health Advice
The Content is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. The Content is based on research and general professional knowledge and does not constitute medical advice, mental health advice, psychological advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional evaluation or care. Nothing on this Website should be construed as an attempt to offer or render a clinical opinion or otherwise engage in the practice of psychotherapy, counseling, medicine, or any licensed profession with respect to any reader.
Always seek the advice of your physician, therapist, or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical or mental health condition. Never disregard professional advice, or delay seeking it, because of something you have read on this Website.
3. Medical & Mental Health Emergencies
This Website is not for emergencies and cannot provide crisis care.
If you or someone else may be in danger, or you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, call 911 immediately or go to the nearest emergency room. If you are experiencing emotional distress, thoughts of suicide, or a mental health or substance-use crisis, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (available 24/7 in the United States). Do not rely on this Website or any communication submitted through it for urgent needs.
4. No Therapist–Client Relationship Created by This Website
Better You Therapy LLC is a Florida-licensed mental health practice. However, your access to or use of the Website — including reading the Content, subscribing to our newsletter, or contacting us through the Website — does not create a therapist–client, counselor–client, or any other provider–patient relationship between you and Better You Therapy or any of its therapists.
A therapeutic relationship is formed only after completion of a formal intake, mutual agreement, and execution of the practice’s written informed-consent and treatment documents. The Content is not individualized care and is not directed at any particular person’s circumstances. Reading the Content is not treatment.
5. No Warranty; Accuracy of Content; “AS IS”
The Content and the Website are provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Better You Therapy disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Although we strive to publish accurate, current, research-based information, we do not represent, warrant, or guarantee the accuracy, adequacy, completeness, reliability, or timeliness of any Content. Health and mental-health research evolves, and Content may become outdated. We are not responsible for any errors or omissions or for any results obtained from the use of the Content. We do not warrant that the Website will be uninterrupted, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components.
6. Assumption of Risk; Your Responsibility; Release
You acknowledge and agree that your use of, and reliance on, the Content is solely at your own risk. You are responsible for evaluating the Content and for any decision you make or action you take based on it, and you should consult a qualified professional before acting on any information you read here.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you agree to release and hold harmless Better You Therapy LLC and its owners, therapists, employees, and agents from any claim, loss, or damage arising out of your access to, use of, or reliance on the Content or the Website. This release does not apply to liability that cannot be released under applicable law, including liability for gross negligence, willful misconduct, or intentional wrongdoing.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall Better You Therapy LLC or its owners, therapists, employees, or agents be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of or relating in any way to the Content or your use of the Website, whether based in contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, even if advised of the possibility of such damages.
In jurisdictions that do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, our liability shall be limited to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable law.
8. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Better You Therapy LLC and its owners, therapists, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your misuse of the Content or the Website; (b) your violation of these Terms; or (c) your violation of any applicable law or the rights of any third party.
9. Intellectual Property and License
Unless otherwise stated, Better You Therapy LLC and its licensors own the intellectual property rights in the Website and the Content. All rights are reserved. You may access and view the Content for your personal, non-commercial use only, subject to these Terms.
You must not:
- Republish, reproduce, duplicate, or copy material from the Website;
- Sell, rent, or sub-license material from the Website;
- Redistribute Content from the Website, except with our prior written permission.
10. User Comments and Submissions
Parts of the Website may allow users to post comments or submit information. Better You Therapy does not review comments before they appear, and comments reflect the views of the person who posts them — not the views of Better You Therapy, its agents, or affiliates. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Better You Therapy shall not be liable for user comments or for any damages or expenses caused by their use, posting, or appearance on the Website. We reserve the right to monitor and remove any comment we consider inappropriate, offensive, or in breach of these Terms.
By posting a comment, you warrant that you have the right to post it; that it does not infringe any intellectual-property right; that it is not defamatory, unlawful, or an invasion of privacy; and that it will not be used to solicit business or promote unlawful activity. You grant Better You Therapy a non-exclusive license to use, reproduce, and edit your comments in any form, format, or media. Do not post personal health information in public comments; comments are not a confidential clinical communication.
11. Third-Party Content and Links
The Website may reference or link to studies, articles, tools, or third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the accuracy or content of any third-party materials, and links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement. Your use of any third-party website is at your own risk and subject to that site’s terms.
Third parties may link to our Website provided the link is not deceptive, does not falsely imply sponsorship, endorsement, or approval by Better You Therapy, and fits within the context of the linking site. We reserve the right to request removal of any link to our Website at any time. No use of Better You Therapy’s logo or artwork is permitted for linking absent a written license. You may not frame our web pages without our prior written permission.
We are not responsible for any content that appears on a third-party website that links to us, and you agree to defend us against all claims arising from links on your website.
12. Cookies
The Website uses cookies and similar technologies as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the Website, you consent to the use of cookies in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
13. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy at getbetteryou.com/privacy. The Privacy Policy addresses data handling only; the reliability of Website Content and limitations of liability are governed by these Terms.
14. Governing Law, Venue, and Severability
These Terms and any dispute arising out of or relating to the Website or its Content are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree that the exclusive venue for any such dispute shall be the state or federal courts located in [Palm Beach County], Florida.
If any provision of these Terms is held unenforceable, that provision shall be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
